About CLP Chemicals

Chris Parker is the President and founder of CLP Chemicals. He started the company in 1991 as a manufacturer’s representative for Sherex Chemical (now part of Evonik) Prior to that, Chris was a sales representative for a local Houston distributor, an account manager for a major U.S. oleochemical manufacturer, and later became a product manager for an international chemical marketing firm. His duties as President include co-managing Supplier and Banking relationships, Sales Responsibilities and Administrative oversight. Chris graduated from Texas A & M University with a BS in Marketing in 1980 and is the proud parent of 3 children.

John Spence joined CLP in 1995 and became minority partner in 1999 while currently serving as Vice President of Marketing. John has over 25 years experience in the chemical industry and prior to CLP Chemicals he was involved in marketing for an International Chemical Trading company. John helps oversee CLP Chemical's sales efforts and also works to expand the company's supplier base in the US and abroad. John received a BBA marketing degree from Baylor University and currently resides in Sugar Land, TX with his wife Belinda and their two children.

Thomas Dirmyer joined CLP in 2008 and manages a variety of functions at CLP in the General Manager capacity. Thomas has 10 years of experience focused on supply chain and distribution in the chemical industry. Prior to joining CLP, Thomas was involved in logistics consulting for chemical companies, and has directed logistics at Albemarle Corporation. Thomas most recently held a Vice-President of Business Development position at Quality Distribution, Inc. Thomas has a BSBA in Business Management from John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH and a Masters of Business Administration from Louisiana State University. Thomas resides in Houston, TX with his wife Debby.

Wanda Caballero is the CLP Chemicals Office Manager. Wanda joined CLP in 1999 after 21 years with local retailer as an Audit Analyst. Her responsibilities include managing the switchboard, data entry, accounts payable, invoicing, and Administrative Assistant to Chris Parker. She is the proud mother of Jennifer and grandmother to Devon and Daisy with whom she spends most of her free time.

Billie Sterner has 27 years of experience in the chemical related business and joined CLP Chemicals in 2003. She is responsible for bulk distribution of styrene and glycerin to and from various terminals and receiving facilities. Prior to joining CLP, Billie worked for El Paso Corporation, Tolson USA, Finachem International Trading, and Fina Oil & Chemical in a variety of roles including Sr. Contract Analyst, Manager of International Customer Service and Assistant Manager of Operations & Finance. Billie resides in Conroe, TX, been married for 38 years and enjoys every moment spent with 6 beautiful grandchildren.

Linda Parker has been with CLP Chemicals since its inception in 1991 and has been involved in various positions within the company since that time. She has been a Sales Account Manager since 2005, and in addition to the various industries served, she has been instrumental in the growth and development of CLP's Pharmaceutical and Personal Care line of products. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. She has three grown children with whom she enjoys spending her free time.

Mike Stringer became a CLP Chemicals associate in 1995, and is a business manager for clients east of the Rocky Mountains. Mike entered the chemical industry in 1971 while attending the Georgia State College School of Business, gaining successful experience in operations, sales and general management through services for a major United States chemical distributor/manufacturer. Mike continues to base out of Atlanta, Georgia where he lives with his wife Marcy.

Tim Mays is responsible for numerous customer relationships for CLP Chemicals. Tim began his career with CLP in 1997, focusing primarily on styrene sales to major manufacturers. Tim has in excess of 25 years experience in sales, supply chain management, and executive management in the chemicals and food additive, arenas. Tim has worked for several multi-national chemical companies in a variety of capacities. Tim is a 1981 graduate of Mississippi State University and resides in Cincinnati, OH with his family.

Rick Dixon joined CLP in 1996 with direct sales responsibilities. Having started in the chemical industry in 1972, he has worked in both production and sales until the moving into sales management in the Methanol industry until the early '90's. Rick graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Elon College in North Carolina in 1971 and is the proud father and grandfather.
